Speke Hotel

Speke Hotel is named after the famous British explorer, John Hannington Speke, who 'discovered the source of River Nile. The Speke Hotel was built in the 1920’s during British colonial times and it is now the oldest hotel in Uganda.  The hotel has 50 ensuite rooms, Italian and Indian restaurants and numerous bars.  The hotel has seen many renovations since the 1920’s but it has successfully maintained its colonial ambiance.  The Hotel is situated in the heart of Kampala, close to the banks, shopping and business centres, and offers all the charms of bygone days complimented by efficient, modern service and facilities.
